1 Corinthians 8

  8:1   4012-1161 περί δε And concerning 3588 των the things 1494 ειδωλοθύτων sacrificed to idols -- 1492 οίδαμεν we know 3754 ότι that 3956 πάντες [2all 1108 γνώσιν 3knowledge 2192 έχομεν 1we have]. 3588 η The 1108 γνώσις knowledge 5448 φυσιοί inflates, 3588-1161 η δε but the 26 αγάπη love 3618 οικοδομεί builds.   8:2   1487-1161 ει δε But if 5100 τις anyone 1380 δοκεί thinks 1492 ειδέναι to know 5100 τι anything, 3764-3762 ουδέπω ουδέν nothing yet 1097 έγνωκε he knows 2531 καθώς as 1163 δει necessary 1097 γνώναι to know.   8:3   1487-1161 ει δε But if 5100 τις anyone 25 αγαπά loves 3588 τον   2316 θεόν God, 3778 ούτος this one 1097 έγνωσται is known 5259 υπ΄ by 1473 αυτού him.   8:4   4012 περί Concerning 3588 της the 1035 βρώσεως food 3767 ούν then 3588 των of the ones 1494 ειδωλοθύτων sacrificing to idols -- 1492 οίδαμεν we know 3754 ότι that 3762 ουδέν [2is nothing 1497 είδωλον 1an idol] 1722 εν in 2889 κόσμω the world, 2532 και and 3754 ότι that there is 3762 ουδείς no 2316-2087 θεός έτερος other God 1508 ει μη except 1520 εις one.   8:5   2532-1063 και γαρ For even 1512 είπερ if indeed 1510.2.6 εισί there are 3004 λεγόμενοι ones being called 2316 θεοί gods, 1535 είτε whether 1722 εν in 3772 ουρανώ heaven, 1535 είτε whether 1909 επί upon 3588 της the 1093 γης earth 5618 ώσπερ (as 1510.2.6 εισί there are 2316-4183 θεοί πολλοί many gods, 2532 και and 2962-4183 κύριοι πολλοί many lords),   8:6   235 αλλ΄ but 1473 ημίν to us there is 1520 εις one 2316 θεός God 3588 ο the 3962 πατήρ father, 1537 εξ of 3739 ου whom 3588 τα   3956 πάντα are all things, 2532 και and 1473 ημείς we 1519 εις in 1473 αυτόν him; 2532 και and 1520 εις one 2962 κύριος Lord * Ιησούς Jesus 5547 χριστός Christ, 1223 δι΄ through 3739 ου whom are 3588 τα   3956 πάντα all things, 2532 και and 1473 ημείς we 1223 δι΄ by 1473 αυτού him.   8:7   235 αλλ΄ But 3756 ουκ [3is not 1722 εν 4in 3956 πάσιν 5all 3588 η 1the 1108 γνώσις 2knowledge]; 5100-1161 τινές δε but some 3588 τη   4893 συνειδήσει with conscience 3588 του of the 1497 ειδώλου idol 2193 έως until 737 άρτι just now 5613 ως [2as of a thing 1494 ειδωλόθυτον 3sacrificed to idols 2068 εσθίουσι 1eat], 2532 και and 3588 η   4893-1473 συνείδησις αυτών their conscience 772-1510.6 ασθενής ούσα being weak 3435 μολύνεται is tainted.   8:8   1033-1161 βρώμα δε But a food 1473 ημάς [3us 3756 ου 1does not 3936 παρίστησι 2stand] before 3588 τω   2316 θεώ God; 3777-1063 ούτε γαρ for neither 1437 εάν if 2068 φάγωμεν we eat 4052 περισσεύομεν do we abound, 3777 ούτε nor 1437 εάν if 3361 μη we do not 2068 φάγωμεν eat 5302 υστερούμεθα do we lack.   8:9   991-1161 βλέπετε δε But take heed, 3381 μήπως lest perhaps 3588 η   1849 εξουσία [3authority 1473 υμών 2your 3778 αύτη 1this] 4348 πρόσκομμα [2an occasion for stumbling 1096 γένηται 1becomes] 3588 τοις to the ones 770 ασθενούσιν being weak!   8:10   1437-1063 εάν γαρ For if 5100 τις any 1492 ίδη should behold 1473 σε you, 3588 τον the one 2192 έχοντα having 1108 γνώσιν knowledge, 1722 εν [2in 1493 ειδωλείω 3the temple of an idol 2621 κατακείμενον 1reclining], 3780 ουχί shall not 3588 η   4893-1473 συνείδησις αυτού his conscience 772-1510.6 ασθενούς όντος being weak 3618 οικοδομηθήσεται be built up 1519 εις for 3588 το   3588 τα [2the things 1494 ειδωλόθυτα 3sacrificed to idols 2068 εσθίειν 1eating]?   8:11   2532 και And 622 απολείται [3shall perish 3588 ο   770 ασθενών 2being weak 80 αδελφός 1the brother] 1909 επί over 3588 τη   4674 ση your 1108 γνώσει knowledge, 1223 δι΄ for 3739 ον whom 5547 χριστός Christ 599 απέθανεν died.   8:12   3779-1161 ούτω δε And thus 264 αμαρτάνοντες sinning 1519 εις against 3588 τους the 80 αδελφούς brethren, 2532 και and 5180 τύπτοντες striking 1473 αυτών their 3588 την   4893 συνείδησιν conscience 770 ασθενούσαν which is weakened, 1519 εις [2against 5547 χριστόν 3Christ 264 αμαρτάνετε 1you sin].   8:13   1355 διόπερ Therefore 1487 ει if 1033 βρώμα a food 4624 σκανδαλίζει causes [2to stumble 3588 τον   80-1473 αδελφόν μου 1my brother], 3766.2 ου μη in no way 2068 φάγω shall I eat 2907 κρέα meats 1519 εις into 3588 τον the 165 αιώνα eon, 2443 ίνα that 3361 μη [2not 3588 τον   80-1473 αδελφόν μου 4my brother 4624 σκανδαλίσω 1I should 3cause] to stumble.
